Volunteer With KOM CPC
Become A Partner In Safety
As a KOM CPC volunteer, you become part of a dedicated, diverse group of people who spend time promoting community safety and awareness.
We welcome people of all abilities and backgrounds, believing in a community policing centre that is truly representative of its neighbourhood.
KOM CPC volunteers participate in patrols, event outreach, presentations and office activities, as well as assisting the VPD or other community policing centre’s when needed.
How To Volunteer With KOM CPC
Becoming a KOM CPC volunteer involves an application process and a background check by the VPD. Once cleared, the volunteer candidate is interviewed by KOM CPC staff.
Download and print out the KOM CPC Volunteer Application Form, and fill in the necessary information.
Pick up the Application Form at our office to take home.
Once filled in, drop-off your application package to our office. If possible, let us know ahead of time so our staff can meet you face-to-face.
At this time, you’ll be provided a Police Information Check (PIC) form that you must fill out, and drop off at the VPD headquarters at 2120 Cambie Street.
If your PIC form is approved by the VPD and cleared by KOM CPC staff, you will be contacted for an in-person interview.
After your interview, you will be notified if you have become a KOM CPC volunteer and will be scheduled for an initial training session.
